Mykonos Town (Chora) has the classic white-and-blue streets and the widest choice of small hotels within walking distance of the harbour and nightlife; the south coast beaches such as Psarou and Paradise have resort hotels closer to the sand. Rates in July and August are the highest in Greece, so late spring or September offer noticeably better value with warm sea.
Best time to visit: May, June and September for warm weather without the peak-August prices.
