How to find a hotel in Dubai
Beachfront resorts in Jumeirah and on the Palm cost several times what a Deira or Downtown hotel does for the same star rating; the metro connects most of the city except the beach strips. Rates fall sharply from June, when daytime heat keeps most people indoors.
Best time to visit: November to March; summer rates drop sharply but it is very hot.
