How to find a hotel in Lisbon
Baixa and Chiado are the easiest bases, both walkable and on the metro; Alfama is beautiful but steep and noisy at night. Many older buildings have no lift, so check that before booking if you travel with heavy luggage.
Best time to visit: March to June and September to October.
