How to find a hotel in Bali
Where you base yourself matters more than in most destinations, because journeys between the south coast and the interior can take well over an hour. Seminyak and Canggu suit beach days and restaurants, Ubud suits the inland scenery, and Nusa Dua is the quieter resort strip. Rates peak in July, August and over Christmas and New Year.
Best time to visit: April to June and September for the dry season without the peak crowds.
