How to find a hotel in Auckland
The Viaduct Harbour and Wynyard Quarter put you close to restaurants and ferries, and the CBD is walkable to Queen Street's shops and the Sky Tower. Ferries and buses reach the wider harbour suburbs easily if you'd rather stay outside the centre. Summer, over the New Zealand school holidays, is the busiest and most expensive period.
Best time to visit: March to May and September to November for mild weather outside the summer peak.
